Reaching Women will be hosting a celebration for grandmothers. Our grandmothers are an integral part of our community and  they should be celebrated for giving of themselves and never tiring. Often, not much thought is given to these life-changing women.

Reaching Women in conjunction with various stakeholders successfully extended their services to the public by drawing up Wills for members of the community free of charge.

The programme was conducted over two consecutive days. This initiative would not have been possible without the assistance of Hogan Lovells Citizenship’s Candice Pillay and the team of six lawyers who selflessly assisted and advised members of the community on everything pertaining wills.

Families and individuals were given relevant information on the topic and once the necessary paperwork was completed they were able to leave with their drawn up wills in their hands.

The people left happy and relieved as they felt like an important aspect of their lives had been settled.

Reaching Women invites you to a special motivational talk with 5 guest speakers from Kansas, USA.

Topic: “Dealing With Life’s Challenges As Women.”

The Reaching Women Team is inviting underprivileged members of the community to shop for free.

The team will be giving away clothing items that they have accumulated.

Reaching Women celebrated the women of the community with an event “Time to Shine.” The women were treated to a fun afternoon and dinner. The motivational speakers encouraged the women to realise how influential and special they are. A few of the women from the audience shared from their life experiences as an encouragement to each other.

The event was hosted at Sastri Park Secondary School Hall.

The pictures above show our last event where Reaching Women held a Mother and Daughter Tea Party. It was a lovely afternoon that was spent socializing and celebrating the unique relationship between mother and daughter.

Reaching Women invites Mothers and Daughters to a Fancy Hat Tea Party on the 7^th May2017 to be held at the Sharks Board, Umhlanga Rocks, Durban, at 3pm.

A special program of motivational talks, eating together, fun activities, one of which includes dressing up in lovely outfits and hats, are all geared towards building understanding, relationship, oneness and support amongst our mothers and daughters and in our families.

A special prize for the lady with the best hat of the day, raffles, lovely snacks, and discounted vouchers for full body massage for each lady who attends, are some of the fun activities the women can expect.

The pictures above show our last event where Reaching Women spent a few hours with mums and sick children who had to remain in hospital over the Easter weekend. There was much fun with balloons, face painting, goodie bags, and lunch.

The Reaching Women team will be going to Ghandi Hospital to visit the children that have to stay in during the Easter Holiday. We will be presenting each of the children with a “goodie bag” to brighten up their day.

Reaching Women is turning 17 years this month, it was founded by Monique Govender on the 8th of March 2000.
